These are the stories etched upon the palm of time, carried down to the era of modern civilisation: oppression, deception, wretchedness, adversity, supremacy, war, mystery, and every ‘ism’ born of diabolical realms. They have made man more noble and great in destruction than in the making of peace.
Advancements in research and technological innovation have led to a grand eruption of manipulation and bombardment. Peace is torn apart, and trouble laughs with spears of joy, invading towns and cities with drunken violence, rewarding the innocent with the merit of pain. Inherited discipline, values, and integrity have been bastardised and eroded in nearly all spheres of life. Both the high and the low desire to live and reign like the mighty, creating confusion and causing victims to witness boldness in affliction every day.
Echoes of a Lost Conscience
Parents and children have become fugitives, migrating beyond the coasts of their origin, breaking away and flowing helplessly in different directions. Oppression and conquest turn villains into heroes, while the world, with its cunning excuses, smiles idiotically.
The politicians, scientists, philosophers, mystics, mythologists, columnists, activists, and analysts—those who claim to be bound by knowledge—have become weak in ideas. They cannot stop mothers from crying, uproar from turning into war, greed from becoming the norm, idleness from festering into a pool of disturbance, dishonesty from entering the hall of fame, or developed countries from producing weapons of destruction for dictators and bandits in other nations. Every day, the smoke of war, the pool of anger, and the whine of distrust spread like a plague, leaving us with a colossal number of unanswered questions.
The Erosion of Values in a Restless Age
In the east, west, north, and south, the same story repeats. Greetings of angst invade the privacy of human existence with a relentless quest for unrest. Man has become a lord of doom, working against the progress of his fellow man. Citadels of deception, such as religious institutions, are no longer keepers of holy doctrines; the whole world has become a Fuji House of Commotion. Man is now hunting himself, a shadow deviating from the purpose of Creation. Earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, global warming, pollution, recession, wars, militias, incursions, massacres, homicides, suicides, rituals, smuggling, robberies, kidnappings, piracy, hijackings, disease, poverty, corruption, scandals, fanaticism, totalitarianism, racism, child abuse, rape, prostitution, abortion, divorce, distorted gender ideologies, and an endless list of vices fill the media, making the world stylish in commotion.
The injection of eccentric doctrines and principles into our ways of life by the icons of power and the orators of the so-called jet-age revolution has reached its peak, rewarding each home with the opposite of harmony. The world deceives itself, thinking it can fool God with the “fundamental human rights” that many governments use as a cover for immorality. Leaders steal money with impunity, hiding their loot abroad unchecked. Men and women change their identities to the opposite sex. Fathers commit unspeakable acts against their own daughters. Young girls lose their essence to the streets of exuberance before adulthood. Values, ethics, discipline, and integrity are fading towards extinction. Parents disown their children, and children wander like tattoos on the streets, searching for the unknown.
Corruption, Immorality, and the Collapse of Moral Order
The world drifts aimlessly on shallow convictions, forgetting that God’s laws and principles have been clear since creation and remain incorruptible, unchanged by the tides of circumstance. It is not divine truth that must adapt to human will; rather, it is humanity that must yield to His eternal standards if peace is ever to reign on earth.
Conspiracy and scandal have bewitched what should have been an ideal world. Greed, hypocrisy, and the creed of survival of the fittest propel humanity’s reckless race toward vanity, sowing calamity with each passing day. Trust is betrayed, and propaganda is wielded as a weapon against the just. Mediocrity is indicted for crimes and suddenly metamorphoses into a messiah, charting the course for our people. Leaders are leaderless, bound and blinded by the trappings of their offices. They swagger in corruption and silence the agitators of good governance with fraudulent court rulings.
Whatever rights you claim or are granted by a self-imposed constitution do not supersede the laws of good conscience and moral values. Whether you are a captain of industry, a politician, an innovator, a celebrity, or an ordinary citizen, none of these grants you the right to defile our civility with the grunt of dilemma. Driven by covetousness, you desecrate moral values and submerge the public conscience in exchange for buoyant bank accounts and frivolous lifestyles. Our streets are littered with shameful acts, all because you have an “oga” at the top who can unilaterally free bandits and label activists as terrorists. Children have lost their roots, and mothers their freedom, to the hands of swindlers who leech like parasites on the power and wealth of the few.
Rebuilding the Pillars for a Worthy Future
You and I must leave footprints worthy of emulation, a legacy vested in the core values of life as bequeathed by our forefathers, whose good works remain undiminished to this day. We must rebuild formidable, culture-based ethics that reject the frivolities of life. We must create a society that extinguishes ignorance, dishonesty, and injustice—a society habitable for our children, our children’s children, and the generations beyond.
I have the right to live as you do—a life without worry, untainted and undiminished. Stop trampling on the essence of life. Give hope to the poor and strength to the weak. You can avert the troubles and deaths of the innocent if you live in the spirit of tolerance and peace. Our coexistence should not be marked by violence, racism, moral discord, and religious wars, but by core values that bring quality of life and equal support to people of all races.
Remember, you are not alone but a neighbour to others. The world needs your cooperation, and its survival rests upon the impartiality of minds. We are like steps on a ladder, juxtaposed together for a single purpose. You need me, and I need you, not for evil, but as it was predestined in the design of human life, to help one another. Without the urge to forcefully manipulate others, the world would not be experiencing such suffering, humiliation, and loss of life. Cease wrongdoing, embrace peace, and build trust. Let tolerance be the compass of your mind. Covetousness is the restless craving of the inner mind to seize what belongs to others, cunningly waging war against all who resist its cause. Be patient, renounce dishonesty, and foster unity for a brighter tomorrow.
Think right, act right. The good you do will unite the world in harmony, while the wrong you do will leave it in chaos, desolate like a coconut without fruit.
